Personnel & Textile Protection

Fire starts on the outside — sparks, hot fragments and open flame. FRS FOG-IA impregnates uniforms, protective clothing, tents and covers so they resist ignition and self-extinguish, giving personnel an extra barrier that stays with the garment.

The threat

Standard field fabrics ignite from a spark, an ember or a hot fragment and keep burning after the source is gone — turning clothing itself into the injury. Personnel working near fuel, fire lines, generators or ordnance are exposed the moment the outer layer catches.

The Fipron Canarias solution

FRS FOG-IA is a PFAS-free, water-based agent that soaks into cellulose-based fibres and dries permanently within them. Treated uniforms, load-bearing gear, tents, tarpaulins and covers become self-extinguishing: they resist ignition from sparks, hot fragments and open flame, and stop burning the instant the flame is removed. Protection lasts the service life of the item and can be renewed after intensive washing.

Deployment

  • Field uniforms, load-bearing gear and fabric equipment
  • Firefighter and rescue work uniforms
  • Tents, tarpaulins, covers and auxiliary textiles
  • Applied by fine-mist spray or immersion bath, then dried — outer layers only
Proof

Untreated vs. impregnated — on camera

In side-by-side burn trials filmed with thermal imaging, untreated cloth ignites and burns through while FRS FOG-IA-treated fabric resists the flame and self-extinguishes. The same agent makes cardboard and packaging self-extinguishing for fire-safe storage and transport.
